Clark County Recorder & Assessor Northwest Branch on Tenaya Way Now Open
In an effort to be more accessible to the public and to the residents in the northwest Las Vegas Valley, County Recorder Debbie Conway and County Assessor Briana Johnson are announcing the re-opening of the Northwest Branch Office today at 8 am.
The joint County office is located at 3211 N. Tenaya Way, Suite 118. The branch is in the Doña Maria Plaza near the intersection of Tenaya and Cheyenne Avenue just west of U.S. 95. The office is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and is closed from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. daily for lunch. The office first opened in 2008 in County Commission District C, now represented by Commissioner Ross Miller.
“It is important to find ways to make government more accessible for the public,” Conway said. “The Tenaya branch brings our services closer to residents and makes it easier to record documents or get copies of the official property-related documents that we maintain in the database.” For more information, call the Recorder’s Office at (702) 455-4336 or visit the Recorder’s Office web page at www.ClarkCountyNV.gov.
“Most of the services provided by the Assessor’s Office at the downtown office will also be available at the branch office,” added County Assessor Briana Johnson. “Residents may call us at (702) 455-3882 for more information or visit our web page as well.”
Both officials have worked collaboratively together to offer these services and save customers a drive to the downtown offices. Having both the Assessor’s and Recorder’s associates working together in the branch office also means residents can complete business transactions that involve both offices. For example, obtaining and recording Homestead forms, applying for veterans’ exemptions, recording military discharge papers, and receiving copies or certified documents. The office was closed temporarily due to the pandemic one year ago.
