Fall Government Surplus Auctions to be Hosted Online Nov. 19, 20 With Public Preview Starting Friday
Clark County and participating government agencies are participating in two online government surplus auctions hosted by JJ Kane Auctions on Tuesday, Nov. 19, and Wednesday, Nov. 20.
The auctions feature vehicles, equipment and miscellaneous items being sold by Clark County and other government agencies in Nevada. The items are listed on JJ Kane’s website, www.JJKane.com under the Western Regional Government Surplus Timed Auction for Nov. 19 and 20. Information about registering as a bidder is on the website in addition to the terms and conditions for participation can be found on this page of JJ Kane’s website: https://www.jjkane.com/auctions/timed-auction/2024-11-20/1053/. Most of the smaller vehicles and all of the miscellaneous items will be sold as part of the Nov. 19 auction. Heavy duty trucks and construction equipment will be sold on Nov. 20. Bidding starts at 9 a.m. online on both auction days.
Public Preview Nov. 15 & 16 and Monday, Nov. 18:
Many of the items to be sold at auction can be seen in-person on JJ Kane Auction’s Southern Nevada location during on-site preview days scheduled for Friday and Saturday, Nov. 15 and 16, and Monday, Nov. 18. The lot is located at 14655 Grand Valley Parkway in North Las Vegas southwest of I-15 and Exit 58. The lot will be open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on all three preview days.
“The preview gives interested bidders a chance to view some of the items in person before placing their bids online," said Jeff Benites, manager of Clark County’s Automotive Services Division, which works with JJ Kane to host the auction.
The government surplus auctions are typically held three times a year in November, February, May to sell vehicles and equipment used or acquired by government agencies. Participating agencies include the area cities, local police departments and the state of Nevada.
