Motorists Advised of Lane Restrictions on Peace Way due to Construction Work

Starting Monday, Sept. 16, motorists are advised that travel lanes on Durango Drive at Peace Way will be reduced to one through lane in all directions through Friday, Sept. 20, for traffic signal upgrades at the intersection. Left turn lanes at the intersection will be maintained.

Other lane restrictions are in place along most of Peace Way from Hualapai Way to Cimarron Road. Information about the Peace Way project is on Clark County’s Department of Public Works website at https://tinyurl.com/2mawbeda.  Project construction hours are generally 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, though lane restrictions on Peace Way are in place 24-hours due to construction activity occurring in multiple areas.

This $19.8 million Clark County project includes roadway rehabilitation on Peace Way from Hualapai Way to Cimarron Road, the addition of curb, gutter and sidewalk improvements and construction of a traffic signal at Hualapai Way and Peace Way.  The project also includes construction of a bridge to connect Peace Way at Fort Apache Road west of the Clark County-215 Beltway and Chessie Court east of the CC-215 Beltway.

The Peace Way project started in June and is expected to take about a year to complete. Motorists are advised to check navigation apps such as Waze, Google Maps or Apple Maps for real-time information as they head out and to use alternate routes as needed while the project is under way.
