Vote Early (Before Election Day):
Early Voting starts the 17th day before Election Day and continues for 14 days, ending the Friday before Election Day. 
 
Vote by Mail/Absentee Ballot:
To print a request form, login to Registered Voter Services and select Request a Mail Ballot from the dropdown menu. The Election Department must RECEIVE written requests no later than 5:00 p.m. on the 14th calendar day before Election Day. Mail/absentee ballot requests must be in WRITING and must be submitted at least once per calendar year, unless you have submitted a specific request to permanently receive a mail/absentee ballot (any person for any reason may do this). Be aware that you may NOT drop-off voted mail ballots at early voting sites or Election Day Vote Centers.  However, you may drop them off at specific designated locations.  A link to a listing of those locations will be available on the Election Department's home page when it becomes available.

Know When to Vote:

• Early voting sites are less crowded at the beginning of the early voting period and generally during the mid-afternoon and evenings for the entire early voting period.

• Election Day Vote Centers are less crowded mid-morning or mid-afternoon and are open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. 

• Voters in line when the polls close will be allowed to vote.

Confirm No Issues Exist:
Make sure that you are actually registered to vote and that your name, address, and party affiliation are current.

Use Your Sample Ballot

Get One If You Don’t Have One:

• Login to Registered Voter Services and select View My Sample Ballot from the dropdown menu to access your sample ballot online (after it becomes available for online viewing). 

• Call (702) 455-VOTE (8683) or send an e-mail if you lost or did not receive your sample ballot at least 10 days before Election Day and want us to mail you another one. 

Study, Mark and Bring Your Sample Ballot to the Polls:
Don’t wait until you are in the voting booth to make your decisions.  

Refer to Your Sample Ballot When Voting: 
On touch-screen voting machines, all offices and questions that sequentially display will match your sample ballot. If you don’t have your sample ballot, ask a poll worker for one.

Plan Ahead:
Choose an Election Day Vote Center that is most convenient for you. Two options can help you do this: (1) In your sample ballot, use the Vote Center listing, and when available the foldout map; or (2) Online, use the interactive, mobile device enabled “Vote Center Locator” map tool at www.clarkcountynv.gov/vote that will be available on voting day.  For more details, see our page on "Election Day Voting."  Or, call the Election Department at (702) 455-VOTE (8683) if you need assistance.

Assistance:
Immediately notify a poll worker upon entering the polling place, or at any time while voting, if you need assistance. 

Start the Voting Process by Signing-In:
Upon arriving at the site, go to any of the laptops to sign-in where your eligibility and signature will be verified before you are allowed to vote. It is always a good idea to bring picture identification with you when you vote. The election clerk will announce your name (and party in Primary Elections), as required by Nevada law.e. 

Same-Day Registration Online or In-Person:
If you registered online on the Secretary of State's website after the standard close of registration (Same-Day Registration Online) or you plan to register in-person at an early voting or Election Day voting site (Same-Day Registration In-Person), you must show acceptable identification at the voting site.  If the address on your identifcation is not where you currently live, you will also need to show proof of residence.  For details, see pages 3 and 4 of "What New in Nevada Elections."

Know How to Use the Voting Machines:
Study the instructions in your sample ballot, follow poll worker directions and ask questions if you don’t understand anything.
