Our Services
The Information Technology Department drives innovation to efficiently deliver cost-effective, robust solutions that provide faster and better ways for our employees to do their jobs and for our residents to access County services. IT Business Services include the assessment, development, implementation and maintenance of technology-based business solutions to support County goals and objectives. In addition, Information Technology maintains a current and secure Enterprise technology infrastructure that is required to protect County technology assets and to position the County's infrastructure for the future. IT Technical Services include support of the application and data center hosting environments, countywide network, and workplace services environment. In addition to providing day-to-day business and technical services, IT is also responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction for the technology infrastructure on which these services are based.

Our interns will have an opportunity to have access to experience career fields in Business Systems Analysts, Programmer Analysts, and Geographic Information Systems Analysts. |
DIGITAL SERVICES A hallmark of becoming an innovative, dynamic and Smart Community is direct engagement with the community. Interacting with citizens through various methods including web access, mobile access and other portals is essential as technology expands to offer additional means of transacting with the County. Interns will have an opportunity to work alongside professionals that support enterprise application systems. |

GIS The Information Technology Department manages the hardware, software, data, maps, and interactive applications that encompass the Geographic Information Systems Management Office (GISMO). GISMO services support core County business processes such as property valuations, property ownership, development review, land use planning, E911 dispatch, and election precincting, as well as the needs of various outside agencies, and the public. Interns will be able to learn geographic and land systems and database creation techniques and the capabilities of computer hardware and software. |
TECHNICAL SERVICES The Information Technology Department maintains a current and secure Enterprise technology infrastructure that is required to protect County technology assets and to position the County’s infrastructure for the future. IT Technical Services include support of the application and data center hosting environments, countywide network, and workplace services environment. Interns will be exposed to activities that include operating system, control and data communication software, systems utilities and other applications/services as appropriate to the County's computing environment. |

IT SECURITY OFFICE The Clark County Information Technology Security Office is responsible for ensuring that all individuals in the organization protect the County's data and information. They understand trends and risks that impact the organization.
