The  Boulder Township  Constable’s Office is an agency with law enforcement authority responsible for the service of civil process  serving a population base of  15,000 citizens.  The City of Boulder City has a total area of 202.7 square miles. This ranks Boulder City as the largest city in Nevada by land.  The operation is supported by an experienced office staff and uses deputies to serve papers and conduct evictions. The office staff is budgeted and paid from County funds; the Constable and deputy staff are paid from revenues that are collected for services performed. Fees for all services, evictions, and functions of the office are set by state statute; the Constable’s office is prohibited by law from collecting any fees other than those specifically delineated in statute under NRS 258. Nevada Constables are among the oldest law enforcement agencies in the state, being established in the 1850’s while Nevada was still a
territory. 

The responsibilities of the agency are for the support and execution of documents, orders, and evictions that are issued out of the  Boulder Township Justice Court and other courts. NRS 188A and B specifically address Landlord-Tenant Law and a significant portion of our activities involve educating and assisting landlords and tenants in the process of eviction, notices, and other issues.  We also interface with a variety of governmental and civic organizations in an effort to obtain services and housing for individuals who may be indigent, displaced from their homes, handicapped, or elderly. We educate local law enforcement, property management groups, and other organizations on issues involving landlord tenant, civil process, and other areas of our operation.
